In this research, I investigate an inflection of Korean `-li` irregular predicate. The purpose of this paper is to analyze `-li` irregular inflection and reveal a factor of /Xlli-/ type emergence. There have been many discussions on `-li` irregular inflection, however most researchers pay scant attention to /Xlli-/ type. I reconsider a status of /Xlli-/ type in Korean inflectional system and prove the argument of preceding researches, /Xli-/ type emerged because of requirement to unify stems which are divided into two types, /Xli--/ and /Xll-/. Especially interesting from a point of view of this research is that two divided stems are unified into /Xlli-/ type by analogy and /Xlli-/ type is in close connection with not /Xli-/ but /Xll-/. In regard to this propose I present synchronic and diachronic evidences. Synchronically if /Xli-/ and /Xll-/ are unified into /Xlli-/, unified stem /Xlli-/ can avoid the emergence of homonyms. Diachronically if we assume that /Xll-/ was originated from /Xli-/, it will be natural that two divided stems are unified into the latter and derived /Xlli-/ type.
