대학생의 ‘인싸(Insiders)’에 관한 연구: 사회관계 및 삶의 만족을 중심으로 = A Study on Perception as 'Insiders' among University Students: Focusing on Social Relation and Life Satisfaction

This study examined whether university students’ social relation affects their perception as Insiders and their perception as Insiders affects their life satisfaction. For this purpose, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted by conducting a survey on 103 university students. The major results of this study were as follow: First, the students' social network size was positively associated with their perception as Insiders(subjective social network size β=.46, p<.001, objective social network size β=.21, p<.05). But their level of social activity was not significantly related to their perception as Insiders. Second, the students' perception as Insiders was positively associated with their life satisfaction(β=.32, p<.01). The results indicate that it is meaningful to examine 'Insiders', a newly emerging term, for university students.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 청소년층 사이에서 유행하고 있는 ‘인싸’는 사회적 관계에 민감한 대학생들의 인싸 인지 수준이 심 리적으로 높은 안정감을 줄 수도 있음을 주장한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학생들의 인싸 인지 수준이 사회관계망 크기와 사회활동 참여 정도가 영향이 있는지 살펴보고, 인싸 인지 수준이 삶의 만족에 실제로 영향을 미치는지에 대해 분석해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울 및 충남 소재 대학생 103명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 기술통계, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생의 사회관계망 크기가 클수록(주관적 사회관계망 크기 β=.46, p<.001, 객관적 사회관계망 크기β=.21, p<.05) 자신을 인싸로 인지하는 것으로 나타났으나, 사회활동 참여 정도는 유의미한 영향을 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 자신을 인싸로 인지할수록 삶의 만족은 높은 수준(β=.32, p<.01)을 보였다. 본 연구는 신조어인 인싸의 의미를 탐색하고 삶의 만족을 높이는 대학생의 사회적 관계의 중요성을 살펴보는데 의의가 있다.
