장기간 노인환자를 돌보는 간병인의 적응경험 = A Phenomenological Study on the Adaptation Experience of Care-Workers for Caring Elder Patients

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: To explore the Korean care-worker's experience of adaptation for the long term caring of elder patients and to provide nursing intervention data for the satisfaction and better life of the elder patients by appreciating the nature of care-workers' adaptational experiences and lots of their meanings with structures.
Method: 9 female care-workers in their ages from 40 to 50 years who have worked at two facilities for old patients in Metropolitan city for 1 year or longer. The interview data are analyzed by the Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method.
Result: As the results of analysis, the following 6 themes have been found out: Being aware of conflict, Being aware of work burden, Being nervous of unstable employment, Self introspection, Feeling of acceptance, Feeling of meaning life.
Conclusion : With the increase in number of old related facilities, nurses not only play a key role in caring the old but also manage the care-workers. Thus, it is considered that the results obtained from the present study provides valuable information for both the old patients and their family as well as for the care-workers' by presenting the data about the care-workers' experiences in direct caring.
