『칼릴라와 딤나』와 한국 민담 비교연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 칼릴라와 딤나의 ‘신랑감을 고르던 쥐 처녀 이야기’와 한국 민담의 ‘쥐의 신랑 이야기’, 칼릴라와 딤나의 ‘기름과 꿀을 뒤집어 쓴 수도승 이야기’와 한국 민담의 ‘옹기장수 이야기’, 칼릴라와 딤나의 ‘은혜 갚은 동물들 이야기’와 한국 민담의 ‘검은 머리 짐승 구제 이야기’를 각각 플롯, 모티프, 캐릭터, 소재, 주제의 측면에서 비교분석하여 유사한 민담들이 각기 다른 문화권에서 구현되는 양상 및 민담 속에 내재된 민족 정서와 사상을 고찰하고 교훈과 주제의 표출 과정을 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 통해서 비교문학 연구와 민담학 연구 분야의 주요 논점인 유사 민담의 자연발생설 및 근원민담의 전파설의 실증적 논거를 발굴하여 칼릴라와 딤나와 한국 민담 간의 연관성을 학술적이고 문학적인 관점에서 규명할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study compares similar stories between Kalīlah wa Dimnah and Korean Folktales (Story of a lady mouse finding its suitable bridegroom vs. Story of a bridegroom of mouse, Story of a monk being covered with oil and honey vs. Story of a pottery dealer, Story of animals returning a favor vs. Story of rescue of animal having black hair) in the aspects of plots and motifs and characters and subjects and themes in order to examine ethnic thoughts and emotions in the stories as well as how to express the teachings in them. It will try to examine literary relations and social and historical backgrounds of Kalīlah wa Dimnah and Korean Folktales.
