본 연구는 빠른 체중감량과 회복시간 전략이 레슬링 선수의 경기력 변수와 생화학적 요인 지표에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법: 연구 기준에 부합하는 20명의 피험자 레슬링 선수를 참가자로 선정하고 무작위로 빠른 체중 감량 그룹(RWL, n=10)과 회복 시간 전략 그룹(RWLR, n=10)으로 배정하였다. 각 그룹은 5일 동안 각각의 급속한 체중 감소를 하였다. 회복 시간 전략 그룹은 체중 감량 후 6시간의 회복 기간을 . 빠른 체중감소군과 회복시간군 전후에 수행능력 변수와 생화학적 요인 지표를 측정하였다. 결과: 5일 간의 빠른 체중 감량 및 회복 시간 개입 후, RWL군과 RWLR군 간에 BW(F=318.36, p<.000), BF(F=7.082, p<.0022), SMM(F=7.082, p<.024; F=7.337, p<.022), LBM(F=69.054, p<.00)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 급격한 체중감량 후 RWL군과 RWLR군은 악력(F=88.078, p<.002), 유연성(F=34.400, p<.000), 총콜레스테롤(F=18.986, p<.001), LDL-C(F=24.691, p<.001), 포도당(F=24.540, p<.001; F=10.368, p<.009) 및 SOD(F=12.843, p<.005; F=8.581, p<.015). 결론: 빠른 체중 감량 회복 시간 전략 개입은 레슬링 선수의 성능 변수 및 신체 손상 감소에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타냈다. 시합 전에 레슬링 선수는 무분별하게 시합 전에 급격한 체중 감량을 하기보다는 빠른 체중 감량 회복 시간을 가지는 것이다.
