청소년의 일탈 비행 및 비동조적 행위 형성에 부모빈곤, 부모-자녀 놀이활동 및 자기인식이 미치는 영향 = The Structural Relationships Among Parental Poverty, Parent-Child Interactive Play Activity, Self-Perception, and Adolescent Behavior Problems

Considering the seriously increasing rise of child poverty in the world, research designed to pinpoint the intervention and identify factors, which can buffer the devastating impacts of child poverty, is of critical importance. This study addressed ways in which parental poverty (PP) factors are associated with adolescent behavior problems (BP) and how these relationships may be mediated by parent-child interactive play activity (IPA) and self-perception (SP). To better understand the developmental origins of behavior problems, and to identify targets for early preventive interventions, this study examined the effects of parent-child interactive play activity and self perception to decrease the number of economically disadvantaged adolescents with behavior problems. Data of the Korea Education Longitudinal Survey (KELS) were used in this survey of 6,908 students in 150 schools. Parental poverty status, parent-child interactive play activity, self-perception, and behavior problem were administered when children were in the 7thgrade. Using structure equation modeling analysis, the results of this study confirmed that adolescents with behavior problems were significantly affected by parental poverty. Self-perception is a mediator of the linkage between poverty and behavior problems. Thus, an adolescent’s high parent-child interactive play activity and positive self-perception act to buffer the negative cycle of poverty.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

심각한 세계적 현상인 아동청소년빈곤의 증가와 부적영향을 고려해볼 때, 이의 중재적 역할을 할 수 있는 변인을 밝히는 것은 실로 중대하다 하겠다. 이러한 견지에서 본 연구의 목적은 사회병폐의 한 원인으로 작용하고 있는 청소년 일탈비행 및 비동조적 행위(BP) 형성에 대한 보다 근원적인 이해와 조기중재변인의 탐색을 위하여 청소년의 일탈비행 및 비동조적 행위는 부모빈곤(PP)과 어떻게 관련되어 있으며, 이러한 부모빈곤은 부모-자녀 상호작용 놀이활동(IPA)과 청소년의 자기인식(SP)이 매개변인으로 작용하였을 때 어느 정도의 설명력을 가지며 완충될 수 있는가를 밝히고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 한국교육종단연구(KELS) 데이터를 사용하였으며 최종 150개 학교로부터 6,908명의 중학생을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 부모빈곤, 부모-자녀 놀이활동, 자기인식, 그리고 일탈비행 및 비동조적 행위가 측정되어졌다. Structural equation modelling 분석결과, 부모빈곤은 초기 청소년의 일탈비행 및 비동조적 행위 형성에 직접적으로 작용한다는 것이 입증되었다. 그리고 부모-자녀 상호작용 놀이활동과 자기인식은 청소년의 일탈비행 및 비동조적 행위에 대한 부분매개변인의 역할을 한다는 것이 확인되었다.
