Amid rapidly changing domestic and global environments driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, corporate digital transformation is accelerating. Given these circumstances, this study empirically examines the influence of digital leadership on organizational performance, specifically investigating the mediating roles of digital culture and digital transformation, as well as the moderating effect of green innovation. To conduct this empirical analysis, data were collected online from 200 employees currently working at small and medium-sized manufacturing and service enterprises in South Korea. Statistical analyses were carried out utilizing SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 software. The analysis yielded the following findings: First, digital leadership positively influenced digital culture and digital transformation. Second, digital culture and digital transformation had significant positive effects on organizational performance. Third, digital leadership did not directly show a significant impact on organizational performance. Fourth, digital culture and digital transformation exhibited a fully mediating effect between digital leadership and organizational performance. Fifth, green innovation was found to moderate the relationship between digital leadership and digital culture. Consequently, this study implies that digital leadership contributes to organizational performance by fostering a digitally-friendly organizational culture and capabilities for digital transformation. Therefore, companies should not only adopt technological approaches during their digital transformation processes but also establish a solid cultural foundation.
