예술 통합형 창의적 움직임 교육에 관한 질적 사례연구 = A Qualitative Study on Creative Movement Education by Art Integration

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to form an education program for creative movement using an education method in combination with art as a basic step of dance education for elementary school students. This study also attempted to apply that program in real-world elementary schools. By doing so, this study is ultimately trying to highlight the need for dance education and to illustrate the educational value of dance education. The researcher designed four classes of fourth graders at an elementary school as Observation Group Ⅰ and a club of 16 students of fifth and sixth graders as Observation Group Ⅱ, and carried out the observation from March to July 2006. The researcher observed how the classes were being operated, and continued to conduct in-depth interviews and surveys with the students. This paper is the result of intensive analysis conducted over some four months from July to October 2006. The education of movement is important for students in that it helps establish a desirable model of a whole human being for elementary school students through artistic experience. The education of movement is more than a simple training that encourages physical and intellectual development of the students. In this respect, dance education at the elementary school level must be recognized as an important part of the curriculum, as a class that teaches movements that are neither professional nor standardized. By doing so, there need to be efforts to promote dance education broadly to real-world education. This study is expected to highlight the necessity of dance education and its educational values for young students.
