외국인 한국어 학습자의 한국어 학습동기가 그릿(grit)과 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 = Effects of Korean Learning Motives of Foreign Korean Learners on Grit and Academic Self-efficacy

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 외국인 한국어 학습자의 학습동기가 그릿(grit)과 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하여, 한국어 학습에서 정의적 요인의 역할을규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 한국어 학습자 330명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS를 활용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 학습동기는 그릿과 학업적 자기효능감 모두에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 통합적 동기는 도구적 동기보다 그릿과 자기효능감에 더 강한 영향을 주었다. 이러한 결과는 학습자의 동기적 요인이 장기적인학습 지속력과 자기 신념 형성에 중요한 역할을 함을 시사한다. 또한 학습동기의내적 요인을 강화하고, 학습자가 어려움 속에서도 꾸준히 학습을 지속할 수 있는그릿 향상 전략의 필요성이 강조된다. 본 연구는 한국어 교육에서 학습자의 심리적 지속성과 효능감 증진을 위한 교수·학습 방향 설정에 기초 자료를 제공한다는점에서 학문적 및 실무적 의의를 가진다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study empirically examined the effects of foreign learners’ Korean language learning motivation on grit and academic self-efficacy, aiming to clarify the role of affective factors in Korean language learning. A total of 330 international students enrolled at Korean universities participated in a questionnaire survey, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that learning motivation had a significant positive effect on both grit and academic self-efficacy. In particular, integrative motivation exerted a stronger influence than instrumental motivation on both variables. These findings indicate that motivational factors play a crucial role in developing learners’ long-term persistence and self-belief in language learning.
Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of strategies to enhance grit, enabling learners to maintain continuous engagement even in the face of difficulties. This study provides foundational insights for establishing pedagogical directions that foster psychological persistence and self-efficacy in Korean language education, offering both academic and practical implications.
