도박 관련 신념과 문제성 도박의 관계에 대한 재탐색: 잠재성장모형을 활용한 단기 종단 연구 = Gambling related belief and problem gambling revisited: A test of position of gambling related belief using latent growth curve modeling

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research is aimed at applying a prospective study to the details of 'gambling-related beliefs' and investigating the relationships between respective details and gambling problems. Through this study, beliefs, which function as preceding factors, are specifically listed. And relevant information is used to increase the efficacy and effectiveness of the preventive education for youths gambling addiction and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Through an Internet panel survey, 320 persons who gamble regularly were analyzed by using a gambling-related belief assessment scale and a gambling behavior and problematic symptom assessment scale. In this short-term longitudinal research, data were collected three times (1st, 5th and 10th month) and then were analyzed by using the latent growth modeling.
The results showed gambling-related beliefs, gambling behaviors and problematic symptoms decreased linearly over time. Based on each construct, a linear relationship between intercept and slop was verified. The slope of gambling-related beliefs have a significant relationship only with problematic symptoms. Accordingly, gambling-related beliefs, which show significant results, were analyzed specifically for respective details (items). In this study, how to use detailed beliefs for the prevention of youths gambling addiction and cognitive behavioral therapy was discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 단기 종단 자료를 활용하여 도박 관련 비합리적 신념과 도박 문제 간의 인과적 관계를 탐색하고, 청소년 도박중독 예방교육이나 상담의 효과를 높일 수 있는 구체적인 신념 목록을 개발하고자 했다. 인터넷 패널을 활용하여 총 320명의 정기적인 도박 이용자를 표집 했고, 기존에 개발된 비합리적 도박 신념 척도와 도박 문제 증상 척도를 활용하여 3차(1, 5, 10개월)에 걸친 단기 종단자료를 수집한 후, 잠재성장모형을 활용하여 분석을 실시했다.
먼저 기초모형을 살펴보면 연구에 사용된 도박 신념과 문제 증상은 시간이 지남에 따라 선형적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 각각의 구성개념을 기준으로 초기치와 변화율 간에 선형적 관계가 있는지 검증한 결과 도박 관련 신념은 도박 문제 증상과 유의한 인과적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 유의한 결과를 보였던 신념을 구체적인 내용(문항) 단위로 재분석하여 그 목록을 제시했다. 끝으로 본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 구체적인 신념 목록을 청소년 도박중독 예방 및 상담에 어떻게 활용할 수 있을지 논의했다.
