이혼과정에 있는 여성에 대한 사회적 지원의 필요성 - 상담사례를 중심으로 - = Necessities of intervention with women in the divorce process - Focusing on the consulting cases -

Recently many people has been consulted about the increasing divorce as a remarkable social situation. This thesis is to analyse the experience about women who have already decided to divorce and hoped to be helped their divorce in the consultative faculty and to investigate the necessity of social care and support on emotional, economical, and lawful difficulties. As a result of this study, women in the divorce process suggest that the main reasons to making decision to divorce be their husbands` adultery and violence and the main reasons to isolate the immediate efforts in the process be their husbands` refusal. This includes their husband`s insincerity and destructive act in making divorce and their ignorance, threat, and violence to women in processing divorce in disregard of women`s own desire. Also, women in the divorce want to get emotional support in their situation than reliable service system in making divorce. This is caused by women`s attitude due to their husbands` one-sided view not knowing women`s service system, so women don`t know what to do. The first problem solving through consulting is about the economical factors of the financial division, the alimony, and the expense for bringing up a child. The next is adapting women to new circumstance after divorce. According to this result of this study, it is suggested that women`s lacking resource, the unreasonable system of social structure, and the social indifference be threaten women in the processing divorce and making one, who have impossible and negative attitude to their divorce. This study aims to grope the necessity of new social understanding and positive intervention to women in the divorce process.
