마이스터고 진학 학생의 특성: 3년(2010-2012) 연구 = Comparisons of Family Backgrounds, Psychological Characteristics, and School Satisfaction among First-year Students from Meister, Vocational and General High Schools

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study compared family backgrounds, learning performance-related psychological characteristics and school satisfaction among first year students from meister, vocational, and general high schools for three years(2010～2012). Samples include 871 vocational students, 841 general high school students, and 847 meister students. One-way ANOVA and Chi-squared test were employed. Results show that meister students have better relationship with parents, higher self-efficacy in learning, higher self-directed learning attitude, better school satisfaction, and higher sense of belonging to school than vocational students. During the three year, 2010～2012, all variables have improved for meister students. The study results suggest that meister schools have succeeded in terms of student recruitment and student performance. Meister schools may become a innovative and successful school model that may improve vocational education stigmatized as second-class education.
