필립 쿠플레 저(著) 『중국어 도서 목록 (Catalogus Librorum Sinicorum)』에 대하여 - 안토닌 토마 저(著) 『천주성교서목(天主聖敎書目)』, 『역법격물궁리서목(曆法格物窮理書目)』과의 비교 연구를 중심으로 -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

『바티칸 도서관 동방 언어 선교 필사본 목록(Catalogus Codicum MMSS Linguarum Orientalium Vaticanae Bibliothecae)』은 동방 12개 언어권에서 선교를 위해 이용 및 수집된 도서들에 대해 실시된 목록작업 의 결과물로서, 1686년 바티칸 도서관에서 출간되었다. 이 도서는 당시 가 톨릭 교회의 동방 선교 전략, 더 나아가 동방 인식을 드러내는 중요한 문 건이다. 하지만, 이 문건에 대한 학계의 주목도는 매우 낮다. 이 문건의 학 술적 활용과 연구를 위해서 본 연구는 『바티칸 도서관 동방 언어 선교 필 사본 목록』 내의 여타 목록과 동시대 중국 그리스도교 도서 목록과의 비교를 바탕으로 필립 쿠플레(Philippe Couplet)가 작성한 『중국어 도서 목록 (Catalogus Librorum Sinicorum)』의 형식적 특징과 도서 수록의 내용적 특성을 기술했으며, [부록]에는 원문 전사 및 한국어 해석을 제시하여 한 국 학계에 『중국어 도서 목록』을 소개하였다. 또한, 클라라 위 동(Clara Yu Dong)은 『중국어 도서 목록』이 안토닌 토마(Antonine Thomas)가 저술 한 동명의 한문 목록과 동일하다고 밝힌 바 있는데, 본 연구에서는 [부록] 에 안토닌 토마 목록의 원문 전사 및 한국어 독음 병기는 물론, 두 목록의 소장 도서 대조표를 작성함으로써 유사성과 차이점을 실질적으로 검증하 였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Catalogus Codicum MMSS Linguarum Orientalium Vaticanae Bibliothecae (Vatican Library Catalogue of missionary codices for oriental mission) is a catalogue published in 1686, Vatican, summarizing codices used and collected for Catholic missions in 12 different oriental language groups. Despite its importance regarding the information of Catholic missionary tactics and perception toward the East, it has not been a matter of major interest among scholars. For the sake of its scholar application and further research, this research would focus on a single section of this book dealing with Chinese mission: Catalogus Librorum Sinicorum(Catalogue of the Chinese books) by Philippe Couplet. The choice was made due to its features distinct from remaining catalogues of the greater catalogue and its contemporary Chinese Christian catalogues. Ultimately, this research aims to introduce the Chinese Catalogue to Korean academic society by summarizing its formal and internal features and providing a transcript and its Korean translation in the [Appendix]. Additionally, Clara Yu Dong has stated in her literature review that this Catalogue of the Chinese books has a Chinese counterpart. This counterpart shares its name with Couplet’s Catalogue and is claimed to be written by Antonine Thomas. To verify the interconnectivity between these two catalogues, this research would include a comparative table recording and comparing the name of the registered books and provide its transcript and Korean transliteration in the [Appendix].
