The purposes of this study were to understand the relationship between training techniques (OJT, Off-JT) and training performance, and to analyze the moderating effects of the individual and organizational characteristics on the training techniques and performance.
In this study, there are four hypotheses based on literature reviews and tested by the data from questionnaires. The sample were consisted in 951 office workers of 22 large corporations. Actually, 507 of 952 samples were used in order to analyze the homogeneous samples. The collected data have been analyzed by using SPSSWIN 7.50 version, with statistical significance of 5%.
The findings of this research are as follows. First, the learning performance of trainees who participated in OJT programs are higher than trainees in Off-JT programs. Second, it is turned out to be significant positive relationship between learning performance and transfer performance. Third, the hypothesis on the moderating effect of trainee's need for achievement between training techniques and learning performance is accepted. Finally, the moderating effects of superior support between learning performance and training transfer are accepted.
The contribution and limitations of this research were discussed, and future researches were mentioned.
