The ghost god religion is found mostly in the fishing villages of Cheju Island. This god is also regarded as a family god just as the Tosan snake god. This god can be very destructive too. If a widow does not worship the god properly, it will enter her body and drive her crazy. The ghost god, also called nobility god, is found in various places that involve ships, mechanics, crafts, wealth, stock farming, and mountains. These places reveal a variety of features of the ghost god. However, this ghost of nobility is also a farcical god which deifies ruined nobility. This god enjoys eating, playing and dancing. It likes to eat pork and chase beautiful women. It can ruin lives by inflicting incurable diseases.
