초등사회과 ‘갈등문제’ 중심 통합단원 내용 모색 = The construction of ‘conflict problems’ centered and integrated units in elementary social studies

‘conflict problems’ centered and integrated unit contents in elementary social studies has been studied in this paper. The education of the conflict problems in the elementary social studies education is necessary for the students to increase the ability to control and resolve the conflict problems by participating the teaching-learning process.
The goal of this study is to make a contribution, by improving ‘conflict problems’ centered and integrated unit contents in elementary social studies, to help adjust ‘conflict problems’ instruction and to develop the learner and society through the growth of conflict problem solving ability.
In order to achieve this purpose, firstly, an research has been made into ‘the types and meaning of the conflict problems’ that the student face in everyday life, and into effects of the social relation among the children on their social moral intellectual development. Secondly, the rationals of ‘conflict problems’ centered and integrated unit content has been studied. In addition, ‘conflict problems’ centered and integrated unit content in elementary social studies has been proposed.
Findings from this study are as follows:
Firstly, it is necessary for the students to increase the ability to control and resolve the conflict problems.
Secondly, it is important to complement conflict problems among various level in recent elementary social studies content.
Thirdly, it is also necessary to make efforts to select and organize conflict problems in spiral curriculum and expanding environment and to how teach that issues.
