      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This paper is a survey of Song Ryang’s lineage and activities, as a Yeosan Songssi’s 13th generation, and intellectual in Sangju area. Yu-Ig was a progenitor of Yeosan Songssi and he was a Jinsa in the Goryeo period. Song Rey killed Lim Yu Mu, and re-established Royal, and he was invested Yeorayng Buwongun with recognized as a contribute Royal, as his two sons Yem and Bun, and with their big activities, Song’s family had become great family name. And they had been divided into five groups, focusing on Yem and Bun’s sons. Song Ryang’s family was famous and their many peoples had worked at public service. However, since his grandfather, Se Hui gave up his office by Gabja Sawhoa. he came to Sangju area, and he lived there, also his father did not go to office. Song Ryang did not go office. But Song Ryang had interacted with Seong woon, Jeung Gook Seung, Jeung Gu, Yoo Sung Ryong, Jeung kyung Se etc, who were highly respected scholars in the province of Andong, Boun, and Seungju. Song Ryang was influenced academically by Seong woon and Lee Whoang
      Song Ryang interacted with the Yoo Sung Ryong who came to work as a mayor of SangJu. He was excellent in his studies as well as had a good manners and loyalty. His loyalty was great and his sons and daughters had learned it from him, therefore his children had a great influence on the folk customs of the village. In 1592, SangJu fell into the Japan, he fought with the local confucian against Japan. He took the initiative to teach the moral soul and manner to local peoples. In 1566, he organized the Naksagei, including No Gi, and Kim Gak etc, total 16 peoples together, and he also worked hard to rehabilitate the culture custom. Also, in 1598, he built a Woogok- Jeungsa, and taught the upcoming generation.
      After in 1606, he had helped to establish the Donam Seowon with Kim Gak, Jeung Kyung Se, and Kim Kwang Doo. In order to treat the suffering residents from the disease after Japanese Invasion war in 1592, and he established Joneiwon with Kim Kwang Doo, Chung Kyung Se and many peoples. He lived in Sangju for a life time as a confucian and intellectual, and worked hard on edify a society.
