청소년 국제교류 활성화 방안 비교 연구

This study was originated from the increasing interests on youth international exchanges and the importance. The aims of this study were to analyse the policies on international youth exchange in the UK, Germany, USA and EU. As a result, this study found that the four countries shared the significance of international youth programmes but rather reflected their own contexts. In particular, UK dealt with international youth exchange programmes as a part of youth education and development. USA tried to change the national image in the global world in order to contribute world peace through international programmes. International youth exchange programmes in Germany were influenced by historical background since World War II. Therefore, this study suggested the need of professional body for international youth exchange policies and programmes, secondly, international youth exchange programmes as parts of youth education and development, thirdly, expansion of countries and region for the exchanges, fourth, the training for the professional staff for the programme, finally the changing the views on the international youth exchanges.
