노인과 지역사회의 노인일자리사업 참여 경험에 대한 질적 연구 = The Qualitative Study on the Experience of the Elderly and the Community on the Social Job Program for the Elderly

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the experience of the elderly participants and the community users on the social job program For this, in-depth interviews as focus group interview and individual interview were done for the 21 elderly participants and the staffs, the community users in four social job program for the elderly in C city. Findings of this study as follows: first, the elderly valued the transfomation of their healthier life style as well as the supplementary income from the programme.
Second, the elderly got individual benefits as like the healthier life style, more income, pride,recognition of family, and also experienced bond with users and the pride of contributor for the community. Third, they defined the job program as 'paid volunteer service', the care of society for the elderly and the contribution of the elderly for the community. Fourth, the user had disbelief on the elderly at first, they were satisfied with the quality of the commodity and services at last, then they recognized the elderly active and competent. As a result, the social job program for the elderly is good for both the elderly and the community. This result suggest that to make good use of the capability and the will of contribution of the elderly, systematic and sustainable support for the elderly is required.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인과 지역사회 수요처가 노인일자리 사업 참여 및 이용 과정에서 어떠한 경험을 하며, 노인과지역사회의 관계가 어떻게 변화하는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 C시의 4개 노인일자리 사업 참여 노인과수요처를 대상으로 포커스 집단면접과 개별면접을 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인은 일자리사업에서 소득 확보 이상으로 건강한 생활방식으로의 전환을 의미있게 보았다. 둘째, 노인은 헌신적 노력을 통해건강과 자신감, 수입, 가족의 인정뿐만 아니라 지역사회에 대한 유대감과 기여의 보람을 얻었다. 셋째, 노인은일자리 사업을 혜택인 동시에 기여인 ‘유급봉사’로 규정하였다. 넷째, 수요처는 초기에는 노인의 능력에 대한의구심이 있었으나 기대이상의 품질에 만족하였고, 노인을 활동적이고 유능한 존재로 인식하게 되었다. 결론적으로 노인일자리 사업은 노인 개인뿐만 아니라 지역사회 복지에도 기여하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 일자리사업에서 노인의 능력과 기여의지를 적극적으로 활용하기 위하여 체계적이고 지속적인 지원이필요하다는 것을 보여준다.
