Job Satisfaction can be defined as individual's cognitive affective, and evaluative reactions toward their jobs. This study focuses on the job satisfaction of government officials who is incharge of tourism related activities in the public sector of tourism industry.
The purposes of this study are as follows: First, to find degree of Job satisfaction of tourism government officials and any difference between those in Seoul and Chungbuk. Second, to figure out any differences Job Satisfaction attributes and among importance of Job Satisfaction attributes. Finally, try to find out relative importance of each Job Satisfaction dimensions to total Job Satisfaction.
This study surveyed ILO government officials who are in charge tourism activity in Seoul and Chungbuk. This survey results are analysed by SAS 6.1 using T-test, Varimax factor analysis, and regression analysis. The findings are as follows: First, There is Job Satisfaction difference between Seoul and Chungbuk tourism government officials. Secon, there exists five factors which are people, work, policy, achivement, and wage. Fianlly, there are differences among Job Satisfaction attributes and importance attributes between Seoul and Chungbuk government officials.
