대여산업의 수익성 극대화를 위한 반납패턴의 개선과 대여가격의 설정

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It has been known that main managerial issues in rental industries include optimizing rental prices as well as rental durations. We find that those issues are influenced by the return-pattern of rented products, which describes the return ratio of each rented product at each time epoch. It implies that the profitability of a rental store largely depends on the shape and characteristic of its return pattern. Therefore the managers should have a strong incentive to change the return- pattern of their rented products to improve their profitability and service quality. Based on such an observation, we suggest a managerial scheme which is so called a rental-milage system to derive an improved return-pattern which enhances their customers to return the rented products as early as possible. We also show the optimal rental price is influenced by the return-pattern of the product.
