It has been studied on the determination of Cd^(2+) with microcrystalline benzophenone by solid-liquid extraction. It is used 8-hydroxyquinoline as complexing agent. 8-hydroxyquinoline is added to this solution by 30 times of moles of Cde^(2+). The optimum pH is 8.0. And also 0.7g benzophenone is added. The optimum condition in standing time is about 1 hr. Under these conditions, a calibration curve for Cd^(2+) is obtained over range 0.02 - 0.18ppm. This resulting calibration curve in this range has a good linearity.
