대졸자의 초기노동시장 진입 영향 요인 연구: 학자금 대출의 조절효과를 중심으로 = A Study on Factors affecting College Graduates’ Entry into the Early Labor Market: Focusing on the Burden of Student Loan Repayment

The student loan system provided young people who were unable to receive educational opportunities due to financial difficulties an opportunity to continue their education. However, behind alleviating inequality in educational opportunities, the economic burden caused by loans and the resulting effects of early labor market entry are issues that need to be socially considered. Accordingly, in this study, the effect of student loans on the initial labor market entry of college graduates was analyzed to determine the effect of student loans by analyzing the wages and quality of employment (full-time workers, large corporations), focusing on the employment issues of young people and labor market policies. We analyzed the direction in which we should go.
As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that student loan factors (loan status, repayment burden) in the initial labor market entry of college graduates have a negative (-) effect on the average monthly wage. On the other hand, it was confirmed that it had a positive (+) effect on full-time employment and employment at large companies, but was not statistically significant. These results show that although the student loan system provided some economic stability, it was only a temporary reprieve, and the burden of loan repayment still exists in the long term. This study suggests the need to establish a matching system that can alleviate job mismatch as well as measures to reduce the loan repayment burden for college graduates when entering the early labor market. It also suggests that the employment issue should be viewed from the perspective of forming a healthy labor market.
