21세기의 목회와 윤리

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘의 목회적 상황은 과거와 달리 경험적, 참여적, 이미지와 은유 중심적, 접속 공동체적 환경에 둘러 싸여 있다. 따라서 목양에 대해 새롭고도 예민한 태도를 항상 갖추고 있어야 하는 교회도 그 같은 급격한 변화의 포스트모던 세계 안에서 분투하는 신자들을 위해 좀 더 발전되고 고도로 헌신된 정신을 요하고 있다. 이러한 패러다임 안에 던져진 그들을 좀 더 높은수준으로, 그리고 좀 더 면밀한 관심을 가지고 돌본다는 것은 과거와 비교해서 단지 약간의 추가된 목회적 부담의 문제가 아니라 윤리적 당연성의 문제가 되고 있다. 오늘날 목회가 다루어야 할 영역은 지금까지의 전통적인 관행과 윤리적 요청에 더하여 오늘의 시대적 상황에 맞게 적절히 대응하도록 좀 더 주의를 기울여야 하는 것이다. 예를 들어 오늘의 목회자는 경험적, 참여적, 이미지 중심적, 접속 공동체적 환경에서 과거와 달라진 신자들의 의식과 수준에 걸맞은 목회와 윤리의 전략적 변용이 있어야 할 것이다. 무엇보다도 21세기 목회자에게 가장 중요한 자질의 하나는 개방성, 진실성, 그리고 유능함을 고루 갖추고 평신도들과의 관계에서 목회 파트너십과 상호작용적인 역할을 통해 이른바 변증법적 변화 지향 모델의 리더십에 기초한 윤리를 추구하도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Pastoral context today is much different from the past in that it iscurrently surrounded by very experiential, participatory, image-driven,and connection oriented cultural ethos. For this reason, church min-istry that should be constantly equipped with updated and attentiveattitudes to caring sheep also requires more upgraded and more high-ly devoted hearts for the people who are supposedly struggling in thisrapidly changed post-modern world. It is not merely a matter of someadded pastoral loads in comparison to previous regular ministry butalso of an ethical imperative. To cope with this new context, the churchshould be more faithful to its traditional pastoral practices and moralrequirements same as ever. In addition, she should pay more attentionto new contemporary versions or variations of perpetual task of Christianministry. Strategically and ethically upgraded perspective of ministryshould be also sought for to this new situation. Above all, one of themost significant qualities of ministers for 21st century is to have dialec-tical change-oriented leadership that creates the mutual respect throughpastoral partnership and interactional role between the pastors and thelaity in practicing openness, truthfulness and competence.
