花卉植物의 選擇에 있어서 周圍 環境因子에 알맞은 種類를 選擇하고 室內 花卉植物의 보다 效果的인 利用開發을 위해서 本 調査 硏究를 試圖하였다.
全國에 걸쳐서 栽培되고 販賣되어지는 室內 花卉植物 54科 277種에 對한 特性을 調査한 바 그 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다.
1. 科別 分布를 보면 백합科가 13.7%로 가장 많았고 토란科 11.9%, 아나나스科 11.6%, 야자科 8.3%, 고사리科 5.1%, 닭의장풀科 4%, 마란타科 3.6%, 뽕나무科 3.2%의 順이었다.
2. 緊植法에 있어서는 分株에 依한 것이 26.7%로 가장 많았고 揷木이 25.3%, 實生이 7.2%, 其他 混用된 방법이 48% 이었다.
3. 越多溫度는 最低溫度가 5℃에 越多하는 種類가 48%로서 가장 많았으며 다음이 10℃로서 28.5%, 기타는 26.5% 이었다.
4. 耐陰性에 있어서는 半陰性花卉가 65.3%로서 陽性花卉보다 월등히 많은 편이었고 陰性花卉는 적은 편이었다.
5. 耐乾性은 乾生花卉인 種類가 6.1%, 濕性花卉가 41.9%, 中生花卉가 52% 이었다.
6. 用途別로 보면 化益用이 74.4%이며 다음이 弔益用이 5.4%, Terrarium用 1.1%, 其他 混用된 方法이 19.1%이었다.
7. 觀賞價値를 보면 꽃, 열매, 잎의 아름다움 중에서 最優秀한 種類하고 認定되는 것이 48%, 優秀한 種類가 43.7%, 普通인 種類가 8.3%이었다.

In the choice of floriculture plants, to choose suitable species of plants at the environmental factor around and efficiently development the usefulness of interior floriculture plants the investigation of study on these were attempted.
According to the inevestigation on the characteristics about 54 family 277 species of interior floriculture plants cultivated and sold throughout the country, the results of this study are summarized as follows:
1. On the distribution of family Liliaceae was most as 13.7%, Araceae 11.9%, Bromeliaceae 11.6%, Palmaeceae 8.3%, Polypodiaceae 5.1%, Commelinaceae 4.0% Maractaceae 3.6%, Moraceae 3.2%.
2. In the propagation method the dividing was most as 26.7%, cutting 25.3%, seeding 7.2%, the mixed 48%.
3. In the winterinf temperature 48% of species wintered at 5℃ in minimum temperature was most, 28% of species was at 10℃, 26.5% was the others.
4. In the shade tolerance the semishade-plant which was fat more than sum-plant was most as 65.3%, shade-plant was few.
5. In the drought tolerance 6.1% of species was xerophyte, 52% of it was mesophyte, 41.9% was hygrophyte.
6. On the use 74.4% of species was flowering pot plants, hanging baskets 5.4%, terrarum plants 1.1%, the mixed 19.1%.
7. In the ornamental value of flower, fruit and leaf, the mot excellent plants were recognized as 48.0%, more excellent ones 43.7%, normal ones 8.3%.
