건축요소로서 르 꼬르뷔지에의 필로티의 개념과 전개과정에 관한 연구 = The Study on Concept and Development Process of Le Corbusier's Pilotis as an Architectural Element

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study is to define the concept and development process of Le Corbusier's 'pilotis' as an architectural element in modern architecture. The term 'pilotis' has been existed as early as 14th century, but it was 20th century in 1926 to be more accurate when 'pilotis' was redefined as an architectural concept in Le Corbusier's "The five points of modern architecture." The question is when and why did Le Corbusier started to have an interest and develop an idea about pilotis, and what the meaning of pilotis is in Le Corbusier's architecture. This study is also dedicated to explore how 'pilotis' has been changed, in the aspects of technology and urban architecture based on Le corbusier's definition of pilotis.
