국문 초록 (Abstract)

자나 프라일론이 쓴 『로힝야 소년, 수피가 사는 집』은 호주의 난민수용소에서 태어나 한 번도 바깥세상을 본 적이 없지만 누구보다 넓은 세상을 보는 아이, 수피의 이야기다.
난민들의 비참한 삶을 여지없이 드러내며 부당한 폭력이 생생하게 그려진 소설로 분명 아프고 슬픈 이야기이다. 하지만 거친 환경에서도 반짝이는 아이 수피로 인해 이런주제를 다룬 대부분의 책들과 달리 무겁고 어둡지 않다. 자유와 희망, 그리고 보금자리를 찾아 치열하게 애쓰는 이들의 이야기가 우리의 생각을 돌아보는 계기가 되길 바란다.

『The bone sparrow』 by Zana Frallion, Korean title 『The home where a Rohingya boy, Shbi lives』is a story of 9 year old Subi who was born in a refugee detention center. Subi has never seen anything outside of the detention center but he sees a world wider than anybody else.
Even though the heartbreaking story vividly reveals the miserable life in the detention center, the story is beautiful. The Innocent protagonist, Subi will linger in our mind and make us rethink what we have been thinking is really right.
