This study is a basic study for comparing the perceptions of Christian parents and general parents on college entrance exams. Using Q methodology, 33 statements on college entrance exams from general parents of middle and high school students who are not Christian parents were sampled, and Q-sorting was conducted on 31 subjects each, and the data was analyzed using the QUANL PC program. The research results showed that there are three types of perception among ordinary parents with middle and high school children: Type 1 is the ‘success = happy life’ type that sees personal satisfaction and happiness as the standard of success; Type 2 is the ‘unfair college entrance exam = expectation of change’ type that recognizes the unfairness of the college entrance exam system but acknowledges the limitations of reality that cannot be changed; and Type 3 is the ‘unfair college entrance exam = compliance with the system’ type that recognizes it in practice and wants to support their children’s education. It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as basic data for a follow-up study comparing the perceptions of Christian and non-Christian parents on college entrance exams, and ultimately lead to the establishment of a biblical parent education system and the development of parent education programs.
