To investigate the characteristics of Coleopteran insects flapping, this research is considered. Flow visualization around the wing of beetles is conducted by PIV (Particle imaging velocimetry) method. As a results, at the middle of up-stroke and down-stroke, velocity fields are calculated by PIV. Also using simple calculation program, vorticity fields are analyzed. Vortices generated by previous strokes are found around the wing.
