Often referred to as ‘Social Responsibility’, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is being emphasized throughout the world. There has been a great effort to standardize CSR commitments as changing in its range and characteristics. CSR activities are currently covering social and environmental issues, while in the past covering only economic issues like profit-making and employment growth. This paper aims to provide practical guidance for domestic companies on how to implement CSR commitments, based on its current trends and approaches in Korea. Despite this guideline may not reach to global standards, it can play an integral role in standardizing CSR commitments in Korea.
