교회 내 발달장애인 신앙교육 부서 운영의 현황과 과제 = The Problems and Suggestions for the Christian Education of Adults with Developmental Disability in Church

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구 목적: 본 연구는 교회에서 발달장애인에게 신앙교육을 할 때 어떤 어려움이 있는지, 어려움을 극복하고 발달장애인 부서를 올바로 운영하기 위해 무엇이 필요한지 살펴보고자 한 연구이다. 연구 방법: 이 질문에 관한 답변을 도출하기 위해 발달장애인 부서를 운영하는 수도권의 세 교회를 표집하고, 각 교회의 발달장애인 부서에서 발달장애인을 지도하는 교사를 대상으로 개인 심층 면접과 FGI를 실시하고 3단계 코딩 과정으로 자료를 분석했다. 연구 결과: 문제점은 네 개의 상위범주와 여덟 개의 하위범주로, 제안 사항은 두 개의 상위범주와 여섯 개의 하위범주로 도출되었다. 문제점으로는 교사 영역, 목회자 영역, 교회 공동체 영역, 시스템의 영역 등으로 분류되었고, 제안 사항은 교회 내적 차원과 외적 차원 등으로 분류되었다. 문제점으로 제시된 항목으로는 교사의 노령화와 이에 따라 발생하는 다양한 문제, 교사를 둘러싼 관계에서 오는 갈등, 교사의 전문성 문제, 목회자와 교회 공동체의 낮은 장애 인식 수준으로 인한 문제, 그리고 부서 운영 시스템의 역량 부족과 일부 교회에 편중된 과도한 부담 등이 제시되었다. 교회 내 발달장애인 부서의 발전을 위한 제안 사항으로 교회 내 장애인식 개선과 통합교육, 교회 간 협력 네트워크 구성이 도출되었다. 또한, 교단이 발달장애인 사역의 중심점에서 체계적으로 역할을 감당해 줄 것, 신학교육 기관에서 목회자를 양성할 때 장애인 사역 교육을 할 것 등이 제안되었다. 결론: 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교회 내 발달장애인 부서 발전 방안을 제시하고, 이 연구의 한계와 후속 연구를 위한 몇 가지 제안을 제시했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This research investigates difficulties and needs in spiritual education for the adults with developmental disabilities in the Christian church. Method: 10 teachers of‘Sarangbu’(class for the adults with developmental disabilities in church) from three churches in Seoul, Incheon, and Suwon were selected for the in-depth interviews and FGI. The data were analyzed following three-step coding process. Result: Four categories of difficulties and two categories of suggestions were deducted with eight and six subcategories respectively. Firstly, for the problems aging of teachers and the subsequent problems, conflicts in relationship surrounding teachers, educational professionality, low awareness of disability of pastoral leadership group and the church community, and lack of capacity were pointed out. Secondly, suggestions such as improvement of disability awareness, promotion of inclusive education, inter-church cooperative network construction, fostering the role of Church headquarters, and the disability education in seminaries were made. Conclusion: We discussed the implications of the findings for the development of ‘Sarangbu’as well as some ideas for the future study.
