대학생의 상담전문가에 대한 도움요청 연구: 도움요청태도가 도움요청의도에 미치는 영향 = A Study on Korean Undergraduate Students` Help-seeking

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of attitude toward help-seeking on the intentions of help-seeking among undergraduate students. I analyzed the data which has obtained from 223 undergraduate students(male=73, female=150). Multiple regression analyses were conducted to explore the relationship between attitude toward help-seeking on the intentions of help-seeking after controlling for demographic characteristics, self-images and psychological characteristics by gender respectively. Self-images were measured by the independent and interdependent self-construal and psychological characteristics were measured by the scale of self-efficacy and depression mood. The main results revealed that the ``confidence and expectations from professional help`` and ``indifference to psychological help`` sub-scale of attitude toward help-seeking were correlated to the intentions of help-seeking among female. These findings suggest the importance of strategies to enhance the confidence and expectation toward professional counseling as well as to reduce the indifference to psychological help. Implications for counseling and further research are discussed.
