      This study had two purposes: first, to develop various health nutrition education materials for preschool children as well as their teachers and parents, and second, to apply the health nutrition education programs systematically. The health nutrition education materials consisted of : "Salt! I know what it is and eat it", "Friends! Let's have breakfast.", "I eat vegetables(rainbow)", "I hate fat", "I enjoy exercise", "I am growing very fast". "I am curious about my body", "My body is important", "Cigarettes, what are they?", "What's included in cigarettes?", "Smoking, it gives my family pain", "Let's quit smoking“, and ”Let's drink moderately". During the education period, booklets, wall charts, photographs, food models, videos, animated films, and demonstrations were utilized. Based on age, there were significant differences in the effects of "I am curious about my body"(p<0.05), "What is included in cigarettes?"(p<0.01), and "Smoking, it gives my family pain"(p<0.05). There were also significant differences in "Salt! I know what it is and eat it", "Friends! Let's have breakfast.", "My body is important." and "Let's quit smoking.". As a result, to improve food habits and health nutrition knowledge, health nutrition education programs must be presented to day care center children as well as their parents, and persistent education is necessary.

      및 결론본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 영양, 운동, 금연, 절주, 성교육 등을 13가지 소 주제로 나누어 서울시 강남구 어린이집 유아 399명을 대상으로 2006년 9월에서 12월에 걸쳐 교육용 교사메뉴얼과 가정용 학습 도구 교재를 제공하여 교육한 후 교육 내용 프로그램의 활용과 효과성을 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아가 교육 후 가정에 가서 교육 내용을 전달하는가에 대해 ‘친구야! 아침 먹자’(83.2%)에 대한 전달이 가장 잘 되고 있었으며, 그 다음이 ‘소금! 알고 먹어요’(79.4%), ‘담배, 위험해요’(57.6%), ‘무지개를 먹어요’(55.5%)의 순으로 나타났으며, ‘담배, 위험해요’라는 내용에서는 연령에 따른 유의적인 차이(p<0.05)를 보여 7세가 6세보다 높은 전달력을 나타내었다. 2. 교육 내용에 대한 흥미도는 ‘소금! 알고 먹어요’(78.0%)에 대해 가장 높은 흥미를 가진 것으로 나타났으며, 다음으로는 ‘친구야! 아침 먹자’(62.4%), ‘내 몸은 소중해요’(42.0%), ‘금연합시다’(40.6%)로 나타났다. 특히 ‘내 몸이 궁금해요’(p<0.05), ‘담배, 무엇일까요’(p<0.05), ‘담
