국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2007년과 2013년에 조사한 동일한 설문지를 바탕으로 수집된 자료를 분석하여 향토의식에 대한 전반적인 차이를 비교·분석하여 두 시점 간의 의식변화 양상과 정도를 현 시점에서 진단하는데 목적이 있다.
이를 통해 학생들은 지역문화에 대한 전반적인 인지도의 부족함을 알고 있지만 관심과 자부심을 가지고 있다는 것과 전통문화에 대한 학생들의 의식이 서서히 자리잡아가고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한 지역문화의 교육은 학생 개인의 관심이 중요하지만 그러한 관심도는 학교 차원에서 동기를 부여할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.
지역문화 발전의 근본적인 사항은 지금의 학생들이 미래의 지역민이며, 지역문화의 수호자이자 전승자라는 것이다. 이를 자각시키기 위해 지역문화에 대한 체계적인 교육이 필요하다.
이러한 교육은 지역에 대한 이해와 주변에 대한 관심을 불러일으켜 지역에 대한 자부심과 애향심으로 발전시킬 수 있다. 이에 최신 트랜드에 부합되는 새로운 인식과 다양한 현실접목 방법의 적용은 지역문화를 지역민의 ‘삶의 일부’로 이끌어내는 단계를 가속화할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze data collected from the same questionnaire surveyed in 2007 and 2013, compare general differences in local consciousness, and diagnose the aspect and degree od change in consciousness between the two time points from the present viewpoint.
Students were found to recognize the lack of general consciousness about their local culture but have interest and self-respect. Consciousness of students about traditional culture was slowly settling down.
Also, interest of individual students is important for education on local culture, but it was confirmed that such interest can be motivated by schools.
The fundamental part in development of local culture is that students are future local residents who will protect and pass down local culture. A systematic education program for local culture needs to be implemented in order to make students become aware of this.
Such education can arouse understanding of local areas and interest in surroundings to foster self-esteem and affection for local areas. Application of new consciousness following the latest trends and diverse methods of connection to the reality can accelerate the effort to transform local culture into part of life of local residents.
