This study proposes a mobile application service design that can enhance communication between grandparents and adult children who share parenting responsibilities. Based on a double diamond design process, we conducted case studies by examining existing applications for co-parenting and communication enhancement programs to identify and retrieve key elements/factors in need of improvement. We completed in-depth interviews on three co-parenting grandparent and adult child dyads. With functions selected based on the collected data, the final version of the prototype was developed into a feasible application, which was utilized for user evaluation and collecting of feedback from target users.
