한말 민족운동 연구성과와 과제 = The Achievement and Prediction of the Research on the National Movement during Late Period of Joseon

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study reviewed papers on the National Movement during late period of Joseon which have been published in the Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History. The researcher analyzed 55 papers and the topics were on Wijeongcheoksa Movement, Righteous Army Movement, Patriotic Enlightenment Movement, Patriotic Struggle, Jajeongsunkuk and Independence Movement in Foreign countries. Only 6.84 % of 55 papers in the Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History were on the National Movement during late period of Joseon, and 26 of 55 papers were on the Righteous Army Movement. 8 papers studied the Patriotic Enlightenment Movement and one or two papers were published for 10 years.
It is due to researchers who got their doctorate during 1980~90. They have dominated the academic circles and paid little attention to the National Movement. This is why the publication rate of papers on the National Movement went down after 2010. The Association for Modern and Contemporary History need to consistently effort to nurture new scholars and seek for solutions for establishing the status of the Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국근현대사학회 학술지 ≪한국근현대사연구≫(1~99집)에 수록된 한말 민족운동의 연구성과와 과제를 검토한 연구이다. 분석대상 논문은 55편이며 한말위정척사사상과 위정척사운동, 의병전쟁, 계몽운동, 의열투쟁, 자정순국, 국외독립운동과 관련된 연구이다. 의병연구는 가장 많은 26편의 논문이 게재되었으며, 의열순국투쟁(14편)·계몽운동(8편)·위정척사사상과 위정척사운동(5편)·국외독립운동(2편) 순이다.
한말 민족운동 논문은 전체 수록논문의 6.84% 정도로 현저하게 낮았으며, 연구주제는 의병에 집중되었다. 이러한 현상은 1980~90년대 박사학위를 받은연구자들이 학계를 주도하면서 많은 연구성과가 축적된 결과이다. 이러한 연구성과들이 축적되면서 신진연구자들이 한말 민족운동으로 연구주제를 선정하지않는 경향을 보였다. 2010년 이후 한말 민족운동 관련 논문의 게재율이 현저하게 낮아진 것도 이러한 영향을 받은 것이다. 한국근현대사학회는 신진연구자양성을 위한 노력을 지속해서 추진해야 하며 ≪한국근현대사연구≫의 위상 정립을 위한 방안을 모색해야 한다.
