`연행록(燕行錄)`과 지식(知識)·정보(情報) ― 지식·정보의 수집과 기록방식 = `Yeonhaengrok` and Knowledge· Information ― Ways to Collect and Record Knowledge·Information

국문 초록 (Abstract)

燕行錄은 많은 내용을 담고 있는 듯 보이지만, 실제 내용을 들여다보면 비슷한 노정에 비슷한 지역의 체험을 기록으로 남기고 있어 난삽하다. 여기에 중복과 투식의 내용은 물론 많은 양의 기록에 비해 참신한 내용을 발견하기가 쉽지 않다. 기록 또한 기왕의 연행록과 문헌을 대폭 수용하는가 하면 같은 사안을 두고 엇비슷하게 기록하기도 한다. 剽竊이나 慣習的 敍述과 같은 套式性도 그 중의 하나다. 이는 연행록의 단점이 아니라 풍부함의 반증이기도 하다. 동일한 공간의 시간적 누적에서 오는 견문 지식과 정보의 누적과 풍부함일 터이기 때문이다. 이 점에서 연행록은 다른 시선으로 바라볼 필요가 있다. 이 점에서 지식과 정보의 시각으로 연행록을 바라보고 이를 통해 그간의 문학적 사유나 문화적 사유로 읽지 못한 것을 발견할 수도 있다. 이를 위해 연행록이 견문 지식과 정보를 획득하는 방법과 이를 取捨選擇한 視線과 기록 방식, 기록한 것을 가공하여 어떻게 분류·배치하고 있는가를 살핀다. 연행록은 타자와 관련한 지식·정보를 많이 담고 있기 때문에 우리가 남긴 기록이지만 타자의 시각에서도 활용할 수도 있다. 이를테면 연행록을 통해 중국을 바라 볼 때, 중국 연구나 중국 자료가 보지 못하던 문제의 확인도 가능해 진다. 이는 주체인식이나 타자인식 혹은 상호 인식이라는 틀과 차원을 달리한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Even though Yeonhaengrok contains many contents in it, its ways of record is not very well organized because it contains similar experiences in similar itineraries. Moreover, it has many redundant contents and is difficult for us to find some new contents despite a large amount of recorded materials. It also copies many previous similar Yeonhaengrok`s and literature, and records them in the similar ways of theirs, in addition to plagiarism and conventional narratives. In a sense, it is not the Yeonhaengrok`s weakness but richness because it reflects the accumulation of observational knowledge and information. In this context, we should approach Yeonhaengrok from a different perspective. We might be able to find some new things that we could not catch with the established literary and cultural ways of thinking, if we approach it for knowledge and information. To do this, we analyze its ways of obtaining observatory knowledge and information as well as classifying and reorganizing these records. Yeonhaengrok can be used by the others` perspectives because it contains many knowledge and information of them. In other words, we can confirm the issues that the Chinese studies and materials cannot reveal by themselves. Such analysis is largely different from self-recognition, recognition of others, or mutual recognition in many senses.
