This study proposes a pre-evaluation methodology to assess the economic impact of international MICE events, using the 9th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC) as a case. Unlike prior studies focused on post-event analysis, it applies the TBATS (Trigonometric, Box-Cox, ARMA errors, Trend, and Seasonal components) time series model alongside mobile communication data to forecast visitor inflows and estimate economic impact in advance. This forward-looking approach offers empirical justification for event hosting and provides a systematic framework to support policy and decision-making.
