읽기부진 학생을 위한 ‘개에게 책 읽기 프로그램’의 교육적 개입 모형 탐색 = Exploration of educational support measures for poor readers based on the mechanism of effect of reading to dogs

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 ‘개에게 책 읽기 프로그램’이 읽기능력 향상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구결과를 토대로 읽기 부진 학생에게 적용 가능한 교육적 개입(활용)방안을 탐색하는데 주안점이 있다.
방법 이를 위하여 개에게 책 읽기 프로그램의 효과성을 다룬 최근 국외 연구 11편을 대상으로 체계적 문헌고찰을 실시하였고, 이를 통해 유의한 효과를 유발하는 관련된 요인을 파악하여 이 요인이 읽기동기와 읽기능력 향상으로 이어질 수 있는 교육적 개입 모형을 도출하였다.
결과 개에게 책 읽기 프로그램은 읽기 부진 학생들에게 책 읽기에 대한 상황 흥미를 유발하여 읽기동기를 높이게 되고 이 때 상황 흥미가 개인 흥미로 발달할 수 있는 보조자의 개입 방식을 통해 읽기능력 향상을 기대할 수 있었다. 이를 기반으로 개에게 책 읽기 프로그램을 위한 단계별 교육적 개입 방안을 제안하였다.
결론 본 연구에서 제안한 프로그램 운영안은 국내 읽기부진 학생 지원을 위한 효과적인 대안이 될 것으로 기대되며, 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives The purposes of this study were to understand the mechanism of effect of reading to dogs, and to suggest applications of reading to dogs for poor readers.
Methods To accomplish this purpose, eleven studies were analyzed which examined the effect of reading to dogs and factors were induced which related to significant effects. Then the mechanism of effect of reading to dogs was identified to help poor readers improve their reading abilities.
Results According to the mechanism, reading to dogs leads to promote reading motivation among poor readers by facilitating situational interest. And then improvement of reading abilities is achieved by applying interventions which enables to develop situational interest to personal interest in reading. Finally educational support measures were suggested based on the finding of the current study.
Conclusions The application of reading to dogs based on its hypothetical effective mechanism could be an alternative for domestic poor readers. And future researches are discussed.
