This paper is to discuss on a justification of narrative in geography education and meanings of geography lesson using narrative texts. Firstly, introduction of narrative in geography education means ideological turn from paradigmatic thinking based on logical and objective scheme to narrative thinking focused on a mode of free thinking. According to this ideological turn, geography classroom is a part of process of making meaning of the world as a residential space of people that students actively create and represent meaning of their experience of place. Secondly, introduction of narrative in geography education means turn of a mode of text description from expository mode relied on objective and logical geographical description to narrative text relied on subjective geographical description following flow of time. This textual turn rejects over-simplification and a logical jump of geography knowledge and help students to actively intervene in text. Thirdly, narrative provides geography classroom with important material and plays a important pedagogical content knowledge that teachers transmit students contents. Therefore, there are a lot of benefits for geography learning if geography classroom connect organically narrative text with storytelling and moral dilemma strategy. Narrative in geography classroom functions for developing contextual understanding and geographical thinking of a reason of human behavior as well as for memorizing basic fact of place as writings be read. Moreover, narrative text helps students to experience sense of place and geographical imagination through giving meanings of people and place as well as to do empathetic understanding of authors` or characters` views and values. Like that, introduction of narrative in geography education makes a epistemological turn in geography classroom, enriches a content and method for lesson, and ultimately contributes students to achieve diverse intrinsic aims of geography education.
