생태 글쓰기(Ecological Writing)의 가능성과 전망 = The Possibility and Expectation of the Ecological Writing.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 생태 글쓰기의 이론적 근거와 타당성을 살피고, 생태 글쓰기가 갖는 의미에 대해 생각해 본 것이다. 박지원, 이덕무, 이옥, 이규보의 글을 중심으로 논의를 펼쳤다. 먼저는 생태 글쓰기라는 개념을 생각하게 된 동기를 이야기했다. 다음으로 생태 글쓰기를 수행한 작가들의 생태적 세계관을 살펴, 이들 작가들에게서 생태 글쓰기라는 개념을 알아보게 된 정당성을 들려주고자 했다. 생태 글쓰기를 수행한 작가들은 자연 사물도 각자의 삶을 영위해가는 존재이며 인간과 동일하게 소중한 생명이라 생각했다. 나아가 인간과 사물의 근원이 동일하다고 여겼다. 이를 바탕으로 생태 글쓰기의 개념과 특성에 대해 살펴보았다. 생태 글쓰기는 생태 정신과 글쓰기를 결합한 용어로써 생태적 사고를 바탕으로 사물을 통해 인간의 반성과 성찰을 이끌어내는 글쓰기이다. 생태 글쓰기는 생태 사상만을 드러내는 것이 아니라 작법으로서의 글쓰기 차원까지 포함하는 개념이다. 생태 글쓰기에는 작가의 생태적 사고와 아울러 작가가 사물과 교감하여 얻은 발견을 글로 표현해내기까지의 글쓰기 과정을 담고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 생태 글쓰기를 수행한 작가들의 생태 글쓰기 양상을 살펴보았다. 연암의 생태 글쓰기는 ``관찰하기 → 발견하기 → 적용하기``의 단계를 거치고 있었다. 사물에서 얻은 발견을 인식론이나 미의식의 문제로 치환하고, 그런 다음 현실 비판으로 확장시키는 것이 연암의 생태 글쓰기 방식이었다. 이덕무의 경우, 그의 글에서 자연은 도덕을 드러내는 수단이 아니라 인간을 변화시키는 주체가 된다. 그의 생태 글쓰기에서 자연 사물은 한 인간의 마음을 바꾸는 변화의 장(場)이자 내면을 씻어주는 치유의 공간이 된다. 이옥은 사물의 입장으로 돌아가 사물의 처지에서 이야기함으로써 사물의 본질과 생태를 담아낸다. 사물의 세계를 인간 세상과 병치시켜 사물의 생태로부터 인간을 돌아보게 하거나 생태적 깨달음을 이야기한다. 마지막으로 생태 글쓰기가 지금의 현실에서 왜 중요한지를 살폈다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to explore the theoretical background and logicality of ecological writing and to consider its meaning. For this reason, the writings of Park Jiwon, Lee Dukmoo, Lee Ok and Lee Kyubo are represented. At the beginning the motivation to the concept of ecological writing is given an explanation. Then it reveals the world view of those writers to try ecological writing and proves the legitimacy to review the concept of ecological writing among them. They thought that natural things lead their own lives and they themselves are precious living existence. And more they are the same root as human being. On the basis of this concept, the concept and features of ecological writing have been considered and studied. Ecological writing is a concept of mixing ecology spirit and writing approach, a writing to derive the reflection and introspection of human being through the things in a way of ecological thinking. It is not just to express ecology spirit, but to go up to the level of writing approach. Ecological writing contains the process of writing to express the communication with the things, together with a writer`s ecological thinking. On this base, the aspects of ecological writing by ecological writers have been revealed. The ecological writing of Yeon Am has the process from investigating through discovering to applying. His writing is that the discovery found in the things is shifted into epistemology and aesthetic sense, then is extended to the critic of reality. In case of Lee Dukmoo, in his writings nature is not just an expression of morality, but the subject to change human being. In his ecological writing, nature things are the subject to change human being and the space to heal the spirit of human being. Lee Ok puts his position on nature, telling something in the position of nature, so he gains the nature and ecology of things. He talks about ecological recognition, caring for human from ecology of thing and placing the world of things and human world in juxtaposition. Finally this study reveals the importance of ecological writing in today`s world.
