This study aims to analyze national school physical education policies based on a multidimensional analytical model, draw implications, and suggest future directions. To this end, we collected national school physical education policy data for a total of ten years, from 2013 to 2022, and expanded our approach to school physical education policy analysis through text mining. The study examined the goals and value shifts of school physical education policies at a normative dimension, emphasizing the academic role of sports pedagogy. At a structural dimension, we analyzed the curriculum and the environment/infrastructure aspects, proposing the establishment of a specialized institution, such as the Korea Institute for Sports Science, to ensure a strong link between the curriculum, environment, and infrastructure. Third, at a constituentive dimension, we examined the characteristics of each policy period and suggested the need for smooth communication between policymakers and stakeholders. Fourth, at a technical dimension, we examined the key achievements and evaluations of school physical education policies. This led to the need for a systematic evaluation system and the establishment of a research institute as a think tank to enhance the quality of school physical education policies. Based on these findings, we offer suggestions for practical application and follow-up research.
