추상화의 총체적 지배: 아도르노의 교환사회 개념과 정치경제학 비판 = Total Domination of Abstraction: Adorno’s Concept of Exchange Society and Critique of Political Economy

It is undeniable that capitalism is the first determination for human beings. What is the social domination that occurs in a society where economic principles have become a necessity? To answer this question, this paper focuses on Adorno’s philosophy, especially his social theory and critique of political economies, which criticize the abstraction of exchange principles. The abstract domination that Adorno attempts to clarify is the universal mediation of exchange, a social model of identity principles that have become a natural order. Structural violence and social a priori conditions and objectively synthesizes individual experiences. Abstract domination is conceptualized as real abstraction in Adorno’s critique of political economies. This means that abstraction is not an epistemological category, like subjective projection, but a social category, the general form of a false society and capitalist totality that reduces everything into exchangeable objects.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자본주의가 인간에 대한 제1규정이라는 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실이다. 그렇다면 경제를 중심으로 동근원화된 사회에서 발생하는 인간에 대한 사회적 지배란 무엇인가? 이 물음에 답하기 위해 이 글은 아도르노의 철학, 그중에서도 교환원칙의 추상화를 비판하는 사회이론과 그의 정치경제학 비판에 주목한다. 아도르노가 규명하는 추상적 지배란 자연적 질서가 돼버린 동일성 원칙의 사회적 모델인 교환 추상화의 보편적 매개를 의미한다. 그것은 구조의 살아 움직이는 폭력이자, 개인의 경험을 조건 짓고 객관적으로 종합하는 사회적 아 프리오리이다. 추상적 지배는 아도르노의 정치경제학 비판에서 실재 추상화로 개념화된다. 이는 추상화가 주관적 투사와 같은 인식론적 범주만이 아니라 사회적 범주, 즉 모든 것을 교환 가능한 대상으로 만드는 잘못된 사회의 보편적 형식이자 자본주의적 총체성임을 의미한다.
