環境親和的 都市開發方向에 관한 硏究

We live in post-modern society. Cities are inescapably dynamic and always subject to change. City change must be set in a strategic framework will include not only the ESSUD(Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Urban Development) issues of the city and its region but a new dimension covering inter-city competition.
The 21st century will be an era of unlimited competition and borderless among regions as well as countries.
This study analyzes an urban development in the concept of ESSUD(Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Urban Development).
It is performed in the following procedures.
First, it develops the concept of the urban development and the relation an urban development to the concept of the ESSUD.
Second, it deduces some necessities to an environmental urban development from this the relation an urban development to the concept of the ESSUD through some foreign model and domestic model.
Third, it tris to find the implications and strategies for the environmental urban development on ESSUD.
The strategies for the environmentally sound and sustainable urban development on ESSUD must be set in an environmental copecity.
In conclusion, the strategies for the new urban development safeguards the urban's green infrastructure of forests, watersheds, estuaries, and farms, and it establishes green limits for future growth.
