이오덕 아동문학 비평의 문학교육적 의의 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아동문학이 아동을 대상으로 한 것이라는 점에서 아동문학 비평은 그 자리가 커야한다. 한국 아동문학 비평사에서 눈에 띄는 아동문학 비평가 이오덕을 만날 수 있다. 그의 비평세계를 분석하고 교육적 의의를 밝히고자 이 연구를 하게 되었다.
그의 아동문학 비평은 아동의 현재 삶을 중요시하는 것이 중요한 초점이다. 이는 그의 비평이 현실주의 관점에서 이루어져 왔음을 알 수 있다. 그의 비평은 한 마다로 '삶을 위한 아동문학 비평'이라 정리할 수 있다. '삶을 위한 아동문학 비평'의 특징을 크게 세 가지로 분석하여 보았다.
첫째, 현실의 아동을 중요시하였다. 아동응ㄹ 단지 보호받아야하는 미숙한 존재로 보던 아동관에서 벗어나 치열한 한국 역사와 현실 속에서 살아가고 있는 당당한 존재로서 아동을 아동문학에서 찾고자 노력하였다. 그리하여 그는 왜곡된 방향으로 해석되던 동심의 개념을 현실에서 살아가는 존재로의 아동에서 이끌어 내었다.
둘째, 서민 정신의 아동문학을 강조하였다. 선생의 비평은 서민성으로부터 시작되었으며 아동문학계에 비평이 활발해지도록 활력소를 불어넣은 역할을 하도록 하였다. 서민으로 대표될 수 있는 농촌의 삶과 그 속에서 사는 사람들에 대한 애정을 가지고 비평을 전개하고 있다. 그리고 생명, 자연, 나라에 대한 사랑의 마음이 아동문학 비평의 기본정신으로 스며있다.
셋째, 아동문학계를 이끌어가는 작가들의 "시정신"을 강조하였다. 아동문학계 내부에서 표절, 모작들의 문제를 논쟁거리로 이끌어 내었으며 아동문학 작가들이 진정한 작가정신을 되찾기를 바라고 있다.
그의 비평사상에서 문학교육적 의의를 찾아볼 수 있다. 과거 교과서는 순수주의를 표방하면서도 반공주의, 교훈주의, 국가 체제에 이바지하는 작품 위주였다. 하지만 이오덕의 삶을 위한 아동문학 이후로 아동 현실의 뭄ㄴ제, 삶의 문제에 귀를 기울이는 현실주의 아동문학이 제자리를 차지하고 있는 다른 아동문학과 균형을 이루게 되었다.
그리고 과거 신비평 위주의 분석적이고 형식적인 문학교육 방법에 대한 반성으로 아동 개개인의 삶을 중요시하는 학습자 중심의 문학교육도 관심을 받게 되었다. 이오덕 아동문학 비평의 방향은 이동 줌심 문학교육 방법 추구에 영향을 미치고있다.

For the viewpoint that children's literature is for children, children's
literary criticism is important. There is a noted children's literary critic.
Lee. o-deok in korea children's literary criticism history. so. 1 began this
study for analyzing his critiques and defining educational significances
The important standpoint of his critiques is that he regards the
children's life at present as important. therefore. his critiques is on the
base of realism and defined as CHILDREN'S LITERARY CRITICISM FOR
LIFE. His critiques can be characterized by three
The First, he considers the realities of life important. he doesn't regard
children as unripe beings, but tries to find children who exist fairly in the
fierce korean history. thereupon. he draw the concept of the juvenile mind
The second, he emphasizes democratic children's literatures. his critiques
are based on commonalty. influence that critiques glow Prosperous in
children's literature, and have affections for people and their lives in the
country .
The third, he accentuates the right poetic spirits of literary writers for
children he enters into controversies with their Plagiarism matters and
hopes that they recover pure writer spirits.
We can find the educational significance of children's literary in his
criticism. In spite of claiming to stand for purism. there were lots of works
on infusing children with anti-Communist ideas, morals, and spirits of
nationalism in the textbooks in times past. however under the influence of
his CHILDREN'S LITERARY CRITICISM FOR LIFE. realism children
literature which handles the matters of the realities of children's life
comes to be important and to keep balance with other juvenile literary
works.
According to the reflection on the analytic and the formal methods which
give the first consideration to the new criticism in times past.
learner-centralized literary education which consider each individual
person's real condition important comes to be emphasized.
