다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

The resting electrocardiogram of 15 Korean marathon runner and 11 Korean top class volley-ball players involved in competitive sports were compared with those of 39 healthy non-trained control (male, 33; female, 16) matched with age. In addition, the electrocardiogram of 3 foreign marathon runners (2 of Japanese and 1 of American) were recorded and analyzed.
The results are summarized as follows:
      1. Athletes had significantly lower heart rate and longer QTc interval than that of the control.
      2. Incomplete right. bundle-branch block were observed in 14 cases out of total 29 athletes (include one case of complete) while 3 cases in the control subjects.
      3. Each one case of first degree heart block and complete heart block were observed in the athletes.
      4. There was not any clear evidence of ventricular hypertrophy (right or left) in the athletes
From the above results, it was suggested that severe competitive sports may be affected on the conductive system of the heart as well as the cardiac muscle.
