수준의 결과에도 영향을 미치는 핵심 자원으로 인식되어 왔으며, 본 연구는 이러한 정보의 역할을 소비자 신경과학적 관점에서 심층적으로 탐구한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은
세 가지 상이한 정보 맥락, 즉 개인정보 침해, 자선 기부 결과 피드백 정보의 제공 여부, 그리고 인간 또는 인공지능(AI)이 제공하는 투자 정보 상황을 중심으로 분석을
수행하였다. 첫 번째 연구 맥락에서는 기업의 부적절한 개인정보 수집 및 활용으로 인해 발생하는 개인정보 침해 상황에서 소비자가 보이는 신경 반응을 분석하고, 이러한
신경 활성화가 기업에 대한 회피 행동, 부정적 평가, 그리고 처벌 의도로 어떻게 이어지는지를 규명한다. 이를 통해 정보 프라이버시 침해가 소비자에게 초래하는 잠재적
심리적·신경학적 피해와 그 마케팅적 역효과를 제시한다. 두 번째 연구 맥락에서는 수정된 독재자 게임을 활용하여 자기이익과 타인이익 동기가 공존하는 기부 의사결정
상황을 구축하고, 자선 단체가 제공하는 기부 결과 피드백 정보가 소비자의 이타적 동기를 어떻게 촉발하여 기부 의도를 증진시키는지를 검증한다. 본 연구는 기부 결과에
대한 피드백이 자기중심적 동기를 상쇄하고 친사회적 행동을 유도하는 신경학적 근거를 제시함으로써, 자선 단체의 커뮤니케이션 전략에 대한 실질적 시사점을 제공한다.
세 번째 연구 맥락에서는 금융 투자 상황에서 인간 투자자문가와 인공지능이 제공하는 투자 정보에 대한 소비자의 수용 행동을 비교 분석한다. 동일한 정보의 효율성과
맥락이 주어졌을 때, 정보 제공 주체가 인간인지 AI인지에 따라 소비자의 조언 수용 의도와 그에 수반되는 신경 반응이 어떻게 달라지는지를 규명함으로써, 인간과 AI가
정보 대리인으로 작동하는 방식의 차이를 밝힌다. 종합적으로 본 논문은 개인정보 보호, 기부 피드백, 그리고 투자 정보 제공이라는 세 가지 정보 맥락에서 소비자의 접근 및 회피 행동을 설명하는 신경심리학적 근거를 제시한다. 이를 통해 정보가 소비자 판단과 행동을 형성하는 근본적인 신경 메커니즘을 규명하고, 소비자 행동 연구와 정보 기반마케팅 전략에 대한 이론적·실무적 기여를 제공하고자 한다.

This dissertation was conducted to decode the implicit neural correlates underlying consumer decision-making in different contexts concerning
information. The first context concerns personal privacy information breaches. The dissertation examines the neural activation of consumers in privacy breach situations and how the brain correlates trigger responses towards corporations. The second context utilizes a modified dictator
game setting, constructing a trade-off context where self-interest and other-interest motives coexist to explore how charitable feedback
information from charitable organizations overrides the self-interest motive to pursue a unique product that influences donation behavior and
the implicit neural evidence underlying other interested (altruistic) and self-interested behaviors that promote this behavior.
The third context examines consumers' adoption of financial investment information given by humans and artificial intelligence in different
states with different market-driven recommendations, aiming to explore whether consumers are more inclined to adopt financial investment
advice provided by humans than AI and its underlying neural evidence. The dissertation finally intends to show neuropsychological evidence to understand consumers' avoidance behavior and approach behavior toward corporations' varying privacy practices, the neural evidence on how feedback information on donation outcomes from charities can trigger consumers' altruistic tendencies, and implicit neurological evidence on
consumers' tendency to adopt investment advice information when faced with AI and human advice in different situations.
