Background: This study was conducted to examine the effects of Korean Advanced Life Support (KALS) simulation training on nursing students’ resuscitation self-efficacy, nursing professional value, sense of calling, and department satisfaction before and after intervention. Methods: This study employed a one-group pre-test-post-test experimental design and recruited fourth-year nursing students from a single university located in City A using convenience sampling. A total of 73 students participated in the study, which was conducted between January 2 and 10, 2025. Pre-intervention data were collected through a questionnaire administered two weeks prior to the start of the study, and post-intervention data were collected immediately after the completion of simulation-based education. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired t-test. Results: Nursing students showed enhanced resuscitation self-efficacy in advanced life support (t=-16.43, p<.001), greater levels of nursing professionalism value (t=-6.69, p<.001), an increased sense of calling (t=-6.69, p<.001), and higher department satisfaction (t=-6.34, p<.001). These findings suggest that KALS simulation education effectively contributes to the development of professional competencies and attitudes in nursing students. Conclusion: This study verified the effects of KALS simulation training on nursing students’ resuscitation self-efficacy, professional nursing values, sense of calling, and department satisfaction.
