A critical Discussion on the Theoretical Rationle of Gill and Atwood's Study; An Application of Nursing Models to Nursing Process = Gill과 Atwood(1981) 연구의 이론적 합리성에 대한 비판적 분석(PartI)과 Roy와 King의 간호모델을 이용한 임상적용(Part II)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 목적은 1) Rogers의 모델을 간호 연구에 이용하는데 있어서, 그 이론적 해석이 적합한지를 분석하는 것과 2) Roy와 King의 간호모델을 간호과정에 적용시키는데 있다. 이 목적을 위하여 본 저자는 Part I에서 Gill과 Atwood(1981)가 공동으로 연구한 논문을 분석하였으며 Part II에서는 Roy의 적용 모델과 King의 개방체계모델을 가상적 임상사례에 적용시켰다.
Part I에서는 1) Gill과 Atwood가 Rogers의 모델로부터 그들의 연구의 이론적 합리성을 위해 유도한 부분, 2) Gill과 Atwood가 Rogers의 모델로부터 그들의 연구에 유도한 operationalization대한 분석; 3) Gill과 Atwood의 연구가 Rogers 모델의 가정 (assumption)과 일치하는가에 관한 분석(organicity/mechanicity, persistence/change, holism/linearityd의 관점에서); 4) Gill과 Atwood의 연구가 Rogers의 모델과 논리적으로 일치하는가에 관한 비판 등을 포함하였다.
Part II에서는 Roy의 적용모델과 King의 개방체계모델이 어떻게 임상에서 이용될 수 있는지, 한 임상사례를 간호과정에 맞추어 가면서 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper are twofold: one is to analyze the adequacy of the researcher's theoretical interpretation of the model; the other is to apply nursing theories to the nursing process. For those purposes, Gill and Atwood's (1981) study, which dealt with the wound healing phenomenon using Rogers' model, was analyzed in Part I; and Roy's adaptation model and King's open system model were applied to a hypothetical clinical case in Part II.
Part I addresses such topics as follows: 1) the portion of Rogers' conceptual model Gill and Atwood (1981) used to derive the theoretical rationale for their study; 2) their operationalization of concepts derived from Rogers' model; 3) the consistency with the assumption of Rogers' model in terms of the view of organicity/mechanicity, the view of persistence/change, and the view of holism/linearity; 4) the logical congruence with Rogers' model on the basis of major issues in related articles (Kim, 1983; Atwood & Gill, 1984).
Part II illustrates how Roy's adaptation model and King's open system model could be used in clinical practice by applying to the nursing process.
