간호대학생의 자아존중감, 대인관계능력, 지각된 스트레스가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향 = Influence of Self-esteem, Interpersonal Relationship and Perceived Stress on Smartphone Addiction in Nursing Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was undertaken to identify the levels of self-esteem, interpersonal relationship, perceived stress and smartphone addiction on nursing students. Data were collected from 208 nursing students at one college located in G city. This study period was from May to July 2023, and a total of 208 nursing students were surveyed using questionnaire survey method. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive stastics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and multiple regression using the SPSS 26.0 program. The results indicate that hours of using a smartphone(β=0.212, p<.001), perceived stress(β=0.287, p<.001) were significantly affect smartphone addiction having an explanatory power of 15%. Smartphone addiction and perceived stress(r=.318, p<.01) among nursing students are significantly and positive correlated, whereas self-esteem(r=-.260, p<.01) and interpersonal relationship(r=-.176, p<.05) were significantly negative correlated. Though this study, it was found that hours of using a smartphone and perceived stress have a significant affect on smartphone addiction. These results show that active effort are needed to reduce smartphone using time and relieve stress for nursing students. Therefore, To prevent smartphone addiction among nursing students, it is necessary to develop and apply an integrated intervention programs that can raise awareness of indiscriminate smartphone use, reduce life stress, and improve self-esteem and interpersonal skills.
